Tenten couldn't hide her grin as she fought the urge to run. She was currently on her way to the vet's office, finally finding time to pick up the Puppy she had adopted. After getting a job, she found that she had extra money. And what with being home alone, she wanted someone there; even if that someone was a dog. Tenten hadn't taken much time to look at all the puppies available for adoption, but she was almost certain that this little black fluff-ball of a puppy would be just the perfect, energetic dog for her.
Seeing the doors to the office in sight, the Brown-haired girl ran the rest of the way, only slowing down when she came to the door. She opened it, and took a few seconds to look around. The place was very nice. Spying a desk, Tenten approached it and looked around for someone who worked here. "Um, Hello?"

Katanai rolled her eyes as the old co-worker shoved her behind the counter once more. She heard a voice from behind her. "Um, Hello?" Her ear twitched as she had picked up the girl's voice. She looked familiar. Kat assumed that she remembered her from seeing her in school or something.
Shrugging off her suspicion, she said softly, "Welcome to the Vet's office. This is the Pick Up Counter. Are you hear to Pick up any pets or select any from our back room of animals?"
She hated talking sometimes. She just ignored her anti-social attitude and gave a smile. She was to tired to work today. She used to figure that the vet's would be the perfect job for her but now, it was beginning to be just a big hassle and waste of time. She sighed.
She tucked a stray piece of her white hair behind her ear. Her crimson eyes were a bit dull- from lack of interest in what she was doing in the current moment. She allowed herself to lean on the counter a bit as she clicked one of the pens open. She looked at the girl. Assuming that she had a pick up, She asked in a kind tone, "What's your name?"

Tenten looked around the place again, waiting for someone to come to the desk. She was curious about what it would be like to own a pet. She had never really shown a great passion towards all animals, not like Kiba or Shino. But she couldn't help but like a cute cat or a sweet puppy. Heaven forbid she like cute fluffy animals like most girly-girls. She couldn't help it sometimes.
Turning back to the counter, she saw a girl now stood there. Her white hair and bright red eyes seemed slightly familiar. Not to mention the cat ears and tail. She sure works for the right place, she thought before smiling.
"I'm here to pick up my puppy," She said cheerfully. She watched the girl who seemed to show only mild interest. She didn't seem to want to be bothered with a customer. Maybe Tenten should make this quick?
Blinking for a moment, she leaned her elbows onto the desk. "My name is Tenten," she answered. She waited for a moment, assuming that she had to fill out some sort of paper work before she could take the little black dog home. If she was going to be here, might as well seem friendly to the girl. Curiously, she asked, "I think I've seen you somewhere before. Do you go to Konoha High?"

Katanai typed the name in the computer. *Okay... Lemme type this in... 'Name'- T-e-n-t-e-n... okay that's good.... Now.... 'Animal breed'--* Katanai ceased her typing when she heard what the girl said.
"I'm here to pick up my puppy", the girl had stated. Kat's teeth cringed. She didn't hate dogs but people liked them too much in her opinion.
She sighed. *No one seems to want a cat anymore*, Katanai thought to herself. She sighed as she reluctantly continued typing. *d-o-g...ugh...'age'...p-u-p-p-y...* Katanai felt a sick feeling- as if she were swallowing a broken heart.
"I think I've seen you somewhere before. Do you go to Konoha High?"
Katanai had been correct. The girl indeed was from her school. She then nodded and said, "Unfortunately. I'm a junior." She could tell that that would be the next question.

Tenten watched curiously as the girl typed something onto the desk computer. She watched and drummed her fingers against her cheek, for she had put her chin into her hands as she waited. She looked confused as she noticed the girl had stopped typing. Looking up to her face, it looked as if something was wrong. She didn't bother to move as she went back to typing though.
"Is everything alright?" She asked, a bit concerned for the stranger. She thought crossed her mind that maybe the girl with cat-like features didn't do well with dogs? That was probably it. It had crossed her mind about getting a cat. Tenten figured they wouldn't be as hard to care for. But then again, most of the time you couldn't run around the park with a cat...
She paused as she had answered her question before. She grinned. "Thought so. You must be in some of my classes then. I'm a Junior as well." She thought, but her mind couldn't pull a name. "Sorry if this seems stupid or...snoopy or whatever. What's your name, if I may ask?"

Katanai pushed her silvery hair out of her eyes once more. She then heard the girl say, "Is everything alright?". Katanai nodded and said, "I'm fine. I'm fine," backing it up with a reassuring smile towards the girl named Tenten.
She looked back at the computer screen. *Hm... what's next...? 'Pet's Name'* Her ear twitched once more- Tenten was talking again.
"Thought so. You must be in some of my classes then. I'm a Junior as well." She thought, but her mind couldn't pull a name. "Sorry if this seems stupid or...snoopy or whatever. What's your name, if I may ask?", the girl had said.
Katanai took in a deep breath. She imagined that the girl was in her class. She looked familiar. She finally decided to answer the final question. In her usual tone of voice, Katanai said, turning her head towards the girl once more, her eyes closed in a sign of friendship, "I am Misarashi Katanai. I'm new to the school but you look familiar." Remembering what the computer had asked her, she asked with a slight gasp in her voice, "What is your pet's name? After this, you'll probably have to fill out some paperwork with some of your information."
Katanai hated making people fill out paperwork- it was a chore for them and herself. She just shrugged it off for now and stayed with her eyes focused on Tenten.
Aurora jumped up on her shoulder. She stroked the cat's midnight fur gently as she looked at Tenten. She sighed as the cat seemed to say, "Dear God... what's with all these dog people?" Katanai stroked her and shrugged slightly.

Tenten still stood, leaned over onto the desk like she was before, casting a not-totally convinced smile back at the employee. "Alright, if you says so."
She waited in silence again, letting the girl do her job. She didn't want to interrupt or be nosy or anything like that, but she couldn't say she enjoyed the ongoing silence.
Alright, so maybe she didn't totally know the girl from school. She looked familiar, but if Katanai hadn't told her, she wouldn't be able to place the name. "I see." She said, nodding her head. "Nice to meet you Katanai-san. And the name is Myo." She grinned and leaned back from the desk. She couldn't help but let out a small sigh. "I kind of guessed there was something to fill out."
Tenten looked back and to her not-so-surprise, saw a cat on Katanai's shoulder. She smiled again. "Cute cat," she said. She was tempted to reach out and pet her as well, but decided against it, seeing as how the cat could possibly not be so friendly or she could be frightened by her movement. She didn't want a reason for the cat to be angry or something.
((Sorry >.< Stupid post. Tis very early though >>))

"I see. Nice to meet you Katanai-san. And the name is Myo."
Katanai continued typing as she nodded, letting the girl know that she had heard her. *'Pet's name'... M-y-o.... There... My part's almost done. Thank god I can type quickly.... Okay... Now what? 'Thank you treasured staff member!' Heh... treasured... 'Now, please have the client fill out the required paperwork from the blue file. Have a lovely work day! Pay day is Thursday!' At least the computer is nicer than the rest of the staff...*
"Cute cat"
Katanai looked over her shoulder at the girl once more. "Thank you. Her name is Aurora." Once again, she senced that that would be the next question asked. "I've had her since my birth. She's one of my few friends..." She could tell that she was answering some future questions.
Reaching into the blue file, Katanai pulled out the required work. Seeing it was twelve sheets, she figured she'd be there for a while. She sighed and handed her one of the packets and a pen. "Sorry it's so long. I just hand it out- I don't type it up." Kat said with some sorrow for the girl in her voice.
She then looked over her shoulder. *Ugh...* she saw the station where her dreaded co-worker worked. She hadn't TALKED to him, but could tell that they would hate each other easily. *That dog boy... He better get his but in to work! He hasn't showed up in days! THIS IS ONE OF HIS SHIFTS I'M FILLING!!! WHY DON'T THEY JUST FIRE HIM!?* He was basically her polar-opposite from the looks of it.
She then, took out a sheet of paper from her backpack. It was a note from one of her teachers. "Miss Misarashi is to show up for detention on every Monday and Tuesday of the next three weeks for coping an attitude with one of her teachers, Kurenai-sensei." *Stupid teacher...* She thought as she placed the note in her boss' mail box.

Tenten stayed silent still (well, sort of. She found herself humming a bit but quickly shut up); curiously watching the cat that was with Katanai. She smiled when she told her the name.
"Cute name too," she commented, then paused to listen to the rest of what was said. Her smile quickly faded as she looked to the worker questioningly. Few friends? she repeated in her head. "Oh..." she wasn't sure what to say...might as well offer though; it wasn't really in her nature to be rude to someone like that. "Well if that's the case, your not terribly busy then? Maybe you want to hang out sometime?"
Tenten's draw very nearly dropped. That many papers? Jeez! She was never gonna get her dog at this rate. She sighed and pushed down onto of the pen. "It's alright. I should had guessed this much." She began to fill out the first questions and all the requirements.
Glancing up after a moment, she saw Katanai with a piece of paper. Looking back down to the next thing she had to answer, she asked. "What's that?"

"Cute name too"
The corner of her mouth curled upward, into a semi-smile. "Thank you," Katanai said with more enthusiasm than she had used in most of the conversation.
"Well if that's the case, your not terribly busy then? Maybe you want to hang out sometime?"
Katanai soon felt her job to be a little more worth while. "That'd be nice." she commented. She soon forgot what she was doing, watching Tenten as she filled out the paperwork. *Poor girl... she seems so nice and now, she has to go through hell, just to get a mutt out of here.*
Sooner than later, Katanai began to drift off into a lazy, sleepish state. She was about half asleep when...
"What's that?" Katanai jumped slightly.
She had nearly forgotten her anger at Kurenai. She sighed, her smile disappeared as easily as she had allowed it to enter the corners of her cheeks.
"That stupid Genjutsu teacher, Kurenai, gave me detention again. Just for giving her the same attitude she gave me! Of all the teachers..." Katanai stopped there. For all she knew, Kurenai could be Tenten's favorite teacher!

Tenten nodded. "No problem." It wasn't like it was a huge deal, just a compliment. Tenten liked a lot of different animals, cats included. She found herself growing more and more excited by the moment. Each question she filled out was another step to owning her own dog.
"That'd be nice." A grin couldn't help but make it's way across Tenten's face. It seemed that she had been making a lot of new friends lately. Sayuri, and now Katanai. It was nice.
"Great!" She responded with a light tone. She lifted her head up, her eyes straying again from the mount of papers that she had to scribble all of her information down on. At least a few good things would come out of it. "What kinds of things do you like to do Katanai-san?" She asked curiously after a few more moments; forcing herself to look down to the paper that is. She tapped her pen against the counter before writing down another line of words.
It was quiet again. Tenten let out a small sigh, smile escaping her face. She flipped to another page. Dang this is a lot... she thought. She had only filled out half by now. Then, drawing her attention again, it seemed as if Katanai did hear her last question.
"That stupid Genjutsu teacher, Kurenai, gave me detention again. Just for giving her the same attitude she gave me! Of all the teachers..." As she trailed off, Tenten looked up yet again.
Kurenai? She repeated in her head. Disbelief was clear on her features. "Odd. I would had never thought." She said outloud with a slight shrug. Then, again, she went back to the papers.
